The IONOS team travel in April 2021 to the beautiful Thessaloniki.
The purpose of our presence was to protect Thessaloniki’s urban green and the problems created by the elm leaf beetle Xanthogaleruca luteola (Chrysomelidae: Coleoptera) to the inhabitants.
To deal with the beetle, we collaborated with the team of BIO-INSECTA, which proposed the application of insect pathogenic nematodes on the leaves of elms, a solution suitable without burdening the urban environment with harmful substances.
The precision operation was carried out on Stratou Avenue, outside the Vellideio Conference Center, using the agridrone M6E-X1, which provided all the guarantees of flight safety and stability.
